I've never done that opportunity before and wanted to see what would happen so I took the stray's ashes to the science place. I added a ghost dog to a family recently, because a stray died on my lot and my sim had the resurrect opportunity. I haven't played around with pets in a while. If it's a smaller dog maybe you could pick the pet up before you click go home? I don't know if that'd work. Surely there is a way to take the pet (or kids) home when you leave. I took the cab and went home and clicked on her to go home and off she took, running to go home. Our dogs at home are not just pets, they are members of our family. I didn't like leaving her then and I don't like the thought of leaving her again. With my pet, I took a cab, so it was just the two of us. I had a car for them and there was just four in the family. They had to ride bikes home and one parent left the other and went home alone. When they were a baby or toddler I could pick them up and go home. When we went to leave, there was no option to take them home. When my sim family took the kids to the park, no problem, go with and chose kids. I clicked on my dog and again, the go home comes up, but no go home with option. I go to the map view, click on my home and it shows go home. But, when I want to go home, I am stuck on how to get my pet, or in SV my kids, to go home with me. I have my dog and want to take her to the park.
